Here are some terms to be remembered in Laws's Subject...
1) Nemo judex in res sua - no man should be a jugde in his own cause
2) Audi alteram partem - both side have right to be heard
3) actus non facit reum nisi mens sit rea
- an act does not make a person guilty unless his mind is also legally blameworthy
4) actus reus - guilty act
5) mens rea - guilty mind
6) obiter dicta
7) consensus ad idem
